CALL TO ACTION: Critical Recommendations for your Security Preparedness

In light of recent security incidents in our industry, we want to remind you of a few critical points regarding your security preparedness and the TPN program. ​

1. It’s important to recognize that the security of services, sites and applications together form the complete picture of your entire environment. The security of both sites and applications is essential to your overall security preparedness. When viewed in isolation, these elements do not provide a complete view of your security status. ​

2. We strongly recommend that, in addition to your sites, any in-house developed or licensed application be added to your TPN+ profile. ​

3. If your in-house developed web application is internally or externally facing and manages the storage or transfer of content assets, we also recommend that it undergo a TPN Gold application assessment. ​

4. As a reminder, you may upload any other associated security certificates earned (e.g., ISO, Soc2, etc.) for either sites or in-house developed applications to your TPN+ profile.​

5. A TPN Gold Shield is awarded in recognition of your commitment to security preparedness upon completion of your assessment and remediation update. However, please note that the Gold Shield is not an approval or pass/fail status. Each Content Owner member will use your assessment as a baseline for making their own independent risk-based decisions.
